About

The organisations, programmes and activities to promote the development of entrepreneurial projects and employability presented in this guide have been compiled since 2018.

They belong to four European countries with a Total early-stage Entrepreneurial Activity (TEA) index above the European average. These are Estonia, Ireland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

The sample is made up of a total of 135 entities in the field of entrepreneurship advice and 13 in the field of career guidance. Among these entities, 329 programmes in entrepreneurship and 21 in career guidance have been analysed.

The information collected on the organisations and their programmes was obtained through the google browser, using the search terms: entrepreneurial supports, entrepreneurship supports, entrepreneurial programs, entrepreneurship programs, career guidance supports and career guidance programs.

Given the importance of career guidance in career development, the results are presented by country and organised into two broad areas, entrepreneurship and career guidance.

In the case of career guidance, we have not found as much variety as in the case of entrepreneurship, which leads us to present the entities located only in the area of counselling.

In the case of good practices in entrepreneurship, these are organised by the type of support they provide. Thus, the user will find entities that provide advice, coaching, support to grow and scale the project, offer infrastructures, events or attendance at fairs, funding, training, mentoring, round tables or workshops, networking, awards, activities to promote the project or the reduction of fees or the bureaucracy involved.

The same entity may have several programmes and even the same programme may have activities in different areas, which will lead to it appearing several times and in different areas.

The fields that appear within each area are:

  • Name of the entity
  • Name of the programme or activity
  • Recipients
  • Place of origin
  • URL
  • Contact
  • Brief description
